2 Nephi 12:6–9

Therefore, O Lord, thou hast forsaken thy people,
_the house of Jacob,
_because they be replenished from the east,
_and hearken unto soothsayers like the Philistines,
_and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

Their land also is full of silver and gold,
_neither is there any end of their treasures;
_their land is also full of horses, [v]136[/v]
_neither is there any end of their chariots.

Their land is also full of idols;
_they worship the work of their own hands,
_that which their own fingers have made.

and the mean man boweth not down,
_and the great man humbleth himself not,
_therefore, forgive him not.
