According to the previous verses in this account, the Lord was slow to answer the prayers of Limhi and his people because of their iniquities. Consider the challenging situation if these developing converts were immediately blessed with all that they desired, including freedom and abundance. Would their faith have continued to grow steadily as it did? How might we apply Mosiah 21:16 in our own lives today?
